I have been praying for my DS for weeks now, constantly. I have been fasting and praying for 6 weeks and feel the Lord calling me to look into Paul’s letters to his “son in the faith” for inspiration on how to talk to and motivate my own son.

So, for the next few days I will be reading and studying at least 1 Timothy and perhaps 2 Timothy as well. This first letter seems to be a directive to Timothy and to how he instructs the church he is at as well. There are lots of gems in these verses and I will take them as fast or as slow as the Spririt directs me. There is hard material here and I do not want to take it lightly.

For today, I will reflect on 1 Timothy 6:20-21:

O Timothy, guard the deposit entrusted to you. Avoid the irreverent babble and contradictions of what is falsely called “knowledge,” 21 for by professing it some have swerved from the faith.
