His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence,
What a fantastic comfort this verse is to me. This verse says to me that just by calling me to Himself, Jesus gave me all I needed to be a godly woman. I don’t need anything else. If I were stranded on an island with nothing. . .I would be fine. His divine power has given me everything I need, through HIS knowlege. This is fantastic news! I don’t need the right music, the right book, the right devotional. I need only Jesus.
There seems to be a theme forming in my time with the Lord, he seems to be calling me to a much simpler faith. He seems to want me to focus on Him and He alone. He seems to be calling me to lay aside all the trappings of Christian life in the US and meet Him alone. He alone can speak to me, books can not, devotionals alone can not.
